New ‘Bush Babies and Tots’ group opens in Dunluce Parish

Wednesday January 14th 2026

Fun at Dunluce Parish’s new Bush Babies and Tots group.

Dunluce Parish Halls in Bushmills resounded with laughter and giggles from both young children and their carers who attended the opening morning of the parish’s new ‘Bush Babies and Tots’ group on Monday January 12.

This initiative saw parents, grandparents, childminders and children enjoying the opportunity to play, chat and snack together.

The team of enthusiastic helpers led by Doris Johnston was delighted at the response from both local people and some from the surrounding areas, with 14 young children and their adults joining in the fun.

Concentrating hard!

Dunluce Select Vestry recognised an opening to build on existing links with the community in Bushmills and beyond, and was very happy to both encourage and support the venture.

The group meets every Monday from 9.30am-11am during term-time.

Visitors can expect a warm welcome, refreshments and lots of age appropriate toys and activities in a very safe environment. The Tots team looks forward to meeting lots more children and adults as strangers become friends.
